MISSION STATEMENT

The City Clerk’s Office is a customer service oriented Office that serves the public by issuing various types of licenses, copies of Vital Records, and providing general information relating to other City Departments in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

FOIL Application

Records Access Officers will have five business days to respond to FOIL requests in writing and they must produce disclosable records within another twenty business days. If the records cannot be produced within this time frame, the Records Access Officer must provide the requester with a written notice as to the reason for the delay and a date (which must be reasonable dependent upon the circumstances), by which the records will be available. Any failure to comply with these regulations will be considered a denial, allowing a requester to begin an appeals process.
